Wall Art in Glamorous Interior Design

These rooms use artwork so well: to update, calm down, enliven, add a sense of history,

or as the focal point.  The hardest thing to do: coordinate artwork with  wall color, furniture, ceilings (two have gold paint) flooring and lighting .

Each of these rooms have very BOLD statements, and the artwork is a critical part. See for yourself:

 Photography is another art-form that  I just love.

Doing something as bold as this Lauren Bacall display is fun.  And real.

You could do it with your family pictures.

It does not have to be an original Monet, Kandinsky, or Warhol. It must, however, be pleasing. That means it must be able to enhance the room it's in, unless the room is designed to enhance the artwork itself.
Bold choices shown here got great results. Take courage from these examples, and throw in a painting or two!

Rooms that Are the View

These are all amazing rooms. some of them have been around the, uh, blogging block quite a bit.   I think a couple of them are from sources that got them from my Pinterest boards and then  saw them again on the blogs....crazy, but the beauty is irresistible!!!!

 Tomorrow, the Superbowl.... I cannot get excited, really. Well, except seeing what Madonna is going to do at half-time, and the commercials, most of which are already out. I am not even a fan of football food, and food is usually my Favorite thing!

Red, White + Beautiful

I found a bunch of red, white and (sometimes) blue rooms for today

 -- the flag-makers of the world are fantastic sources of inspiration, color-wise, eh?!

I'm seeing a lot of these giant gold mirirors. Aren't they lovely! Hmmm I feel another post.....

A chart of flags would probably really make an excellent source for color ideas....Hmmmm....
