Mirrors in Kitchens

Here's the idea behind mirrored/ mirrors-in kitchens: 

light, a sense of extra space, seeing what's going on behind you

 as you cook or work at the sink, 

a touch of glamor,  

or to keep an eye on yourself in the kitchen!

And it just looks so great:

This first kitchen surprised me: Mirrored Kick plates! The details here are exquisite.

On a simpler,charming note: 

The rather unusual kitchen above is a real, non-showhouse,

 used-everyday kitchen, by the way.

Barcelona = STYLE

Leaving Baton Rouge after almost 3 weeks... 

so many wonderful people here....new gorgeous architecture is going up,

 and it's hot but great... 

 Let's all hope the crazy crime wave abates quickly...Heading home to Atlanta  to reintroduce myself to my family...I am so excited! Future non-vacation trips away will be much shorter.

Anyway...

Cabinetry for most of us is an expensive headache to choose

and install. But we LIVE in our kitchens. A lot of do more than cook and socialize in there. We keep reminder notes, pay bills, take medicines, store receipts....basically our whole lives can be in there.
