Tory Burch Design: Exceptional Style

Tory Burch:
I  enjoy and admire her lovely fashion and interior designs. She is consistent in her choices of color and mood, but each time, the look is unique.  She understands relaxed, appropriate style... An understated sophistication, for both formal and casual looks.
Here's why I am a fan:

I have the flipflops in black. Now must also have these:
Don't you feel as if you know  this room?

She knows I want that dress:

Friendly formality~

Summer glamour ~ stay cool

What an original, smart and creative designer, businesswoman,
mother, and role model for all women !
You GO, Tory!

Have a great day!

Rustic Elegance, Easy as Pie**

** Recipe Included for a simple, awesome pie

Rustic, elegant, pleasing....

So lovely and relaxing!

An elegant yet humble kitchen:

Saltine Cracker Pie.
This divine meringue pie is magic.  The simple recipe has such humble ingredients, you cannot believe the results.

No one would guess that this divine meringue pie comes from such humble beginnings, but the best is usually the simplest, right?

  • This is my mother-in-law's version. Sinfully  delicious:
  • 16 Saltine Crackers, Crumbled
  • 9" Pie Pan, Buttered
  • 3 Egg Whites
  • 1/4 t. cream of tartar
  • 1 C Sugar
  • 1/2 C Pecans, Chopped
  • 2 tsp Vanilla

  • Beat egg whites until foamy
  • Add cream of tartar and beat egg whites until stiff
  • Gradually Add sugar to egg whites slowly
  • Fold the crumbled crackers into the egg whites.
  • Fold in pecans and vanilla
  • Pour into the buttered pie pan
  • Bake at 350º F for 30 minutes. Cool and refrigerate.
Top it with whipped cream, throw in  pineapple preserves mixed with the whipped cream ,or use chocolate whipped cream, ice cream ...yum!

Simple Ingredients, elegant results.

Have a great day!

Solar Flare Flair -- DIY and More

A chunk of sun...Magnetic fields are disrupted.
Communications are disrupted. Electricity is disrupted. The sky is beautiful.
Nature's  Design.

Which we love to copy.

Here is an image to keep, a Solar Flare Sunset:
Charged Particles are  Gorgeous!

This shot of the solar flares, taken recently by NASA,
would also look great framed and up on a wall:

As would this sweet mirror:

Wow...

This certainly gives you a sense of being, um, overwhelmed, and may call for sunglasses...

This calls for applause:  Solar-inspired D-I-Y

Unfathomable...

P.S..........................

    According to :

The coronal mass ejection (CME), reached Earth at around 5:45 am EST on Thursday (3-8-2012) according to officials at the Space Weather Prediction Center of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. But it was more of a “glancing blow” than a full on collision, thankfully.
The impact will continue to affect Earth today according to Space.com, but the storm has now been classified as “moderate” as of midnight last night (EST). The effects have been the greatest over the polar caps.
