Non-Food - But Very Sweet - Valentines

Valentines Day
is TOMORROW.
It's not too late to make it awesome.
Zero calories, lasting memories, and a clear conscience go with these sweet Valentine's Day gift and celebration ideas.  Plus, many of them are D-I-Y and  take about 5 minutes to do...I heart the wonderful people in my Pinterest community for the images and most of the ideas.

A nice ribbon, construction paper and a helping hand makes a beautiful
simple garland to keep forever. Perhaps put notes on the Valentines:

A paper airplane with a heart cut-out attached, a sweet note...

For a man or a woman, one simple flower, with a look of love, will always work.

Love pipe cleaners!

Make together on Valentine's Day; Frame the memory.

If cash flow isn't an issue....

If your "Valentine" has a heart of stone, print this and make it into a card, or frame it.

And if you must do food:  pretty flowers, wine, cheese, fruit, bread, a fireplace, cushions and blankets, privacy, and your Loved One.

Have fun getting ready!

Beautiful Gold Ceiling

Shine on!
This bedroom is fascinating in it's details. And it is a room with yet another Gold Ceiling! I began spotting these and collecting them on one of my Pinterest Boards months and months ago. I thought gold on a ceiling was such a rare and wonderful idea. But it doesn't seem to be so unusual anymore, and they just keep coming.  Here's a good one:

I've got a whole slew of them saved on my "Gold Ceilings" pinterest boards
which you can see here......It's an idea that deserves some attention.

Have a Golden Day!

Repins: Rhyme or Reason?

Do you know Pinterest
It is highly addictive, extremely easy to use, and so much fun!

I haven't figured out why some of my absolute DREAM favorites get ignored while others that I find to be simply nice are wildly popular. Figuring out what Other people might like is a science that hurts my brain to think about. So I'll just show you what people are really liking:

I get repins on these first two every single day

Anyone who repins this  finds that it gets more and more repins...viral.

And then  certain Bedrooms seem popular--

"Now THAT is Industrial"

Re-purpose those old bottles!

And now I must continue my addiction to pinning....
All images were, of course, via my Pinterest boards.
I pin a LOT, so there is LOTS to see. There is some amazing stuff...check it out!

Tweaking the Design

Style has been tweaked a bit in these images. Wonderfully.
First, 3 Karin Blake designs. She was doing this work for years before most. Her mix-it-up, folk-industrial, very clean style is still ahead of the game. Awesome:

And the creative flow continues with many other designers. I've see a lot more experimentation lately on standard styles without actually breaking the mold.
I love all of the ideas here: using subtle detail or combinations of style or color to make a mark on the otherwise ordinary room.:

Sparks of originality and creativity are peeking through in each of these rooms.
Within a "mainstream" format. That's NOT easy. Standard framework , yet managing to surprise and inspire. I love that.
