Traditional, sturdy, pleasing safety:
For simpler, modern tastes, Munchkin LOFT Infant Safety Gate:
I include this next one to make a point--
There is no such thing as "ugly" when it comes to child safety:
Nothing particularly stylish here. The beauty is in the safety.
But if you do it, isn't this better?
Don't forget the deck!
If there is the slightest chance that a child can access it,
the pool needs its own safety fence,
even if the backyard is fenced.
You know that, of course.
Perfect for my ShihTzu, but my mother's crazy large dogs could totally jump over this...
... so, we are gertting her this sturdy, tall, attractive solution:
This gorgeous gate is for dogs, not babies.
Safety is Beautiful, and Good Design can
make it fit right in to your home.
Have a happy, safe, secure day!

idk where they got this but I went to my local DIY store home Depot or Lowes. In their garden section they have some similar. I got the "no dig" garden steel fence came in 3 pks for under $50. They have the PVC ones too. 3 pk gave me away to have one at end of hallway and then I used the other 2 to block my 6' span entrance to dining room. I used heavy black zip ties to attach to it a gate latch. Where in each side swings and they latch together in the middle. Works great for a pit/lab mix and a boxer! Looks "designer & airy", mind you I solved both issues for under $50! They also have wooden gates in the lumber section too. can also get just one wood fence panel and cut the height down to size that works for you. The cost for actual "dog gates" are either high, not well made, attach to wall that is not good for large jumping dogs, a pain to open and/or you have to step over a bar (tripping hazard). They just were not ideal in many ways for me and mine. My dad taught me to be creative for money doesn't grow on trees! Im a diy'er Jack of all trades master of none! Besides who is REALLY a professional? All of and are needs are simply just unique! And so then who can fulfill your interest better than yourself?! peace and I wish you Good Luck
