Ok, you have an empty room. And you hear "blue" and "beams".

 I really heard this:

"Um, I like beams. Yes. Beams. Oh, and my favorite color is blue!"

 A home created by renovating ( converting) a barn is a Very Tempting idea to consider.

 It invites you back to the land and an earlier time.
